Welcome to an oasis of natural beauty and tranquility - the Slough Day Use Area. Slough Day Use Area offers a range of experiences along the Deschutes River Trail.

As you step into the Slough Day Use Area, you'll be greeted by the gentle sounds of water and the rustling of leaves. The area's natural beauty is centered around a peaceful slough, providing a tranquil setting for visitors to unwind and reconnect with nature.

Hiking Trail: A scenic hiking trail meanders through the area, inviting visitors to explore the lush surroundings. The well-maintained trail offers opportunities for birdwatching, wildlife spotting, and peaceful contemplation.

Deschutes River: The boat ramp makes the Slough Day Use Area perfect to launch a kayak or paddleboard. Enjoy an upstream paddle and then when you’re ready, turn around and float your way back to the boat ramp.

Dogs must be on leash from May 15-September 15.

Parking Pass: Ensure you have a valid Northwest Forest Pass for parking at the day use area.
